GODS AND MONSTERS

The series takes place in Graia: a fantastical version of ancient Greece not unlike the world of Greek mythology. All the gods and mythic creatures are real and similar to their real mythic counterparts.

Terra, the goddess of the world is the most powerful goddess of Graia. But with great power, there must also come great responsibility. When her student Typhon abuses the power she gave him to try and conquer the Kosmos, Terra must unite the survivors into a grand rebellion to overthrow the evil dragon.

With her great Power, Terra was able to defeat Typhon, but some problems cannot just be punched away. The guilt and self-hatred born from blaming herself for facilitating Typhon’s crimes eat her up inside. Worse yet, the new king of the gods Terra put in his place isn’t much better.

Zeus, the god of thunder appears to rule more justly on the surface, but underneath is rotten to the core. Corruption, greed, and exploitation wear a kind face as the immortal gods continue to exploit the mortal humans just as the Titans did. Worse yet, Zeus is her own flesh and blood, making opposing him even harder for Terra.

Terra again feels despair, feeling she is once again responsible. However, she finds a spark of hope when Hades, the god of the dead opposes Zeus’ world order. Hades fights to change it so that it fulfills the promises of the revolution that overthrew Typhon. Terra lends him her aid and helps Hades find a new nation, not as his kingdom but rather as the first democratic city-state of Graia. As the two idealists fight for a better world they fall in love and become the ultimate Graiac power couple.

Outside Hades’ land, the other rulers disapprove of this affront to their world order. They fear losing their monopoly on political power as their subjects gain interest in emancipation from monarchy as well. So, they begin making plans to destroy them.

As Terra and Hades work together their partnership grows deeper and Terra begins to finally overcome her internal demons as she makes war with the external ones. Terra and Hades must work together to overcome plots of the evil gods, villains from their past and Monsters as terrible as Typhon himself!
